This is a relatively uncommon expansion pack. I don't know for sure, but I imagine this is geared more for the Tomy Pyuta mkII than the original, because the mkII lacks a true BASIC environment. But it will also plug into an original Pyuta just fine. To install this, it goes into the expansion port, not the cartridge slot (kind of obvious when you look at the connector). As part of the lot of Pasopia7 peripherals I recently purchased, I picked up this printer/plotter. I would not have purchased this by itself, I don't really want a printer of any sort in my collection, with the one exception of the built-in printer in the MZ-700, which gets its pass because it takes up but the tiniest bit of extra space (but unfortunately, it also doesn't have pens yet). 続き⇒
I found this pretty unique set of items on Mercari a few days ago. It included a Pasopia7 computer with two boxed cartridges, three Pasopia7-dedicated peripherals and one Pasopia7 game, most of which I didn't even know existed. An Epson TF-10 dual disk drive unit (commonly available for other systems but this was the first time to see the Pasopia7 unit), a color printer/plotter, and an RS-232 adapter round out the peripherals collection. It also included a modem, which while not Pasopia7-specific, is pretty neat-looking. The game is 3-D Bomber Man (yes, that Bomber Man [it even says so on the box]). Everything but the modem was contained in its original box, and it seems like every manual and other piece of paper was saved, except the warranty cards which I might imagine were dutifully filled out and mailed off. 続き⇒
Just before the end of the year, I grabbed this lot of boxed PC-6001 items. There was considerably more than this, but I wanted to focus on the matching boxed system and peripherals. The system box was in pretty decent shape, but NEC was wont to use cheap cardstock boxes for the peripherals, so the end result is they don't look amazing after 40 years. 続き⇒

2022年12月17日 - MZ-700のPCG
You may recall that I was explaining that I would likely never get a PCG for the MZ-700. They tend to fetch considerable premiums whenever they surface on Yahoo Auctions. But one came up recently and I noticed that this was a non-auto-extending style auction. 続き⇒
This must be my fourth or fifth SMC-777C by now. I don't keep duplicates at the moment, so I sell the machines back, but I often pick up accessories this way to expand my collection. This lot was a particularly good one; I got some games, an official SMC-777 mouse, and a kanji ROM card! It also came with a complete set of manuals and software, some of them in better condition than my own, so I did a bit of swapping out to improve my own collection. 続き⇒
I’ve picked up a few Pasopia7s recently and two of them included this item. It converts digital RGB to RF or composite video signal. This isn’t the only one; I have one from Hitachi but it’s positively huge and requires a separate power adapter, which I don’t have. I also have one for the PC-6001mkIISR, which I will do a write-up of later, because that serves a special purpose. 続き⇒
This has been an active week for my X1 systems. First, I picked up a set of two external floppy drives. There was a disk stuck in one of them, and it wouldn’t come out by conventional methods. Upon opening it, I saw that drive head was in the down position and wouldn’t come up either by the drive lever or gentle force. So I began the very technical task of poking my finger at various things, and eventually found whatever it was waiting for and it sprang back up. 続き⇒
