2025年06月18日 - JOY JOY PACK SPECIAL Despite reading the description, I didn't really know what I was getting myself into with this purchase. It's a never-opened (until now) Joy Joy Pack #3 for the MZ-1500. It contains two QuickDisks with two main games, Drol and Shooting Wars. It also came with a board game, but the board game is based on Drol, and relies on loading side B of the Drol QuickDisk.The software on side B acts as the dice and also produces in-game messages. 続き⇒ |

2025年06月15日 - JOY JOY PACK第2弾 This is the second of three Joy Joy Packs. As its predecessor, it is a nicely presented, although cheaply packaged, collection of six QuickDisks containing utilities, study material, and a single QuickDisk with two games. Although it is cheaply packaged, the way in which it is cheaply packaged was changed quite a bit, and the end result was slightly better. 続き⇒ |

2025年04月16日 - セガ SC-3000H I've had a couple of different SC-3000s, with specs varying by color only (originally I had black, now I have red). I recently grabbed an SC-3000H because a) it is a different color (white) and b) it was quite a reasonable price compared to others I'd seen. 続き⇒ |

2025年04月15日 - トミー TV FUN 601 When I saw the Tomy TV Fun 601 on Mercari, I thought it was a pretty handsome machine, but after looking a bit more, I see the previous version of the TV Fun was actually much more sophisticated-looking with its wood grain case and silver knobs. 2025年03月01日 - NEC PC-TV351 The PC-TV351 by NEC is a cut below the holy grail of PC-TV monitors - the PC-TV455. But actually, the difference is not that great. It has most of the same connectors; the PC-TV455 offers an extra AV input, and it shares one of those inputs with an S-video input, but if your primary goal is computers, this isn't really relevant. 続き⇒ |

2025年03月01日 - NEC PC-98DO+ The PC-98DO+ sounds good on paper. It's distinguishing point is that it can run PC-9801 and PC-8801 software from a single computer. The DO purportedly stands for "dual operation" but I just call it "PC-98 do". You know, "do", like the word, "do". I was told this is wrong and was laughed at. I was also told that the machine is incompatible with a number of games on both the PC-88 and PC-98 side. 続き⇒ |

2025年02月12日 - BASIC1・トミーぴゅう太 This is a relatively uncommon expansion pack. I don't know for sure, but I imagine this is geared more for the Tomy Pyuta mkII than the original, because the mkII lacks a true BASIC environment. But it will also plug into an original Pyuta just fine. To install this, it goes into the expansion port, not the cartridge slot (kind of obvious when you look at the connector). In addition to BASIC, it also provides printer connectivity. 続き⇒ |
