OutRun on the MSX2 is an incredibly solid port. They gave themselves a proper amount of ROM space to work with and it turned out really nicely. Lacking the FM sound is about the only serious shortcoming I could fault it for, but the iconic music blasting from your car radio was nonetheless pleasant.

Sure, they had to drop some detail compared to the arcade, but the gameplay is nice and smooth and remains visually attractive.

I picked this loose cartridge up as part of a bulk lot auction.
