I first played King's Knight in the US, I bought it for the NES. The music was memorable and I loved the environments it thrust you into. The game was hard for me, though. I rarely saw a character all the way into the final world, and on the rare occasions I did, I died very quickly. Lo and behold, I found there was an MSX port. And it's... kind of bad! The controls are so unresponsive that I'm kind of surprised it was okay-ed by Square for release. They did manage to reproduce the graphics and music well enough for an MSX1 game, though. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Despite the poor controls, I managed to get to the last level of the game with the thief. More often I think I got there with the knight or monster back in the day. I don't think I lasted long, in any event! ![]() ![]() The packaging was kind of unique in that it's quite wide, yet opens outward like a book. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
