Underground City is a brilliantly colorful game with solid gameplay. It is reminiscent of Missile Command, but this game is played under sudden death rules. There is only one city to protect, which is hidden under a barrier. Each hit from an enemy opens a very small hole in the barrier, and if a second attack finds its way through one of the holes, it will hit the city and the game is over. If you survive a day, the barrier is rebuilt. The difficulty setting is not cranked up too high. as on my first play I managed to make it to level 7. The first title screen is tremendously unimpressive, but everything else is graphically well done. There's a good variety of enemy ships, and the explosions are nicely executed. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This game was released by SilverBall Studios, who also released Cloud Kingdom for FM-7. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
