MZ-700の記事その他のMZ-700のゲームソフト

The MZ-700 port of Mappy has a standard (non-graphic) version on side A, and a PCG (programmable character generator) version on side B. The main gameplay is much like the arcade, but the sound is simple (as expected for the MZ-700) and it doesn't include the bonus stage. Only the layout and color of the house and the locations of the stealable items vary from one stage to the next. Still, this is a major arcade title for the MZ-700, so I am sure people were very happy to have it.

The PCG version depicts the potential loot items as simple but reasonable monochrome graphics, while the normal version uses katakana to tell you which the item is. Likewise, Mappy, Goro, and the Meowkies are monochrome characters in the PCG version, while being represented by graphical glyphs in the normal version (sorry, I only took photos of the PCG version).



The box art looks identical to the more arcade-accurate X1 version,
