Spring Bug is a frustrating little game for the X1. You have to time your jump to first get to the ground level (much easier of the two goals), and then bounce your way up to the very top-center object of the screen (this is difficult!). Not only are your landing spaces very narrow for your erratic jumps, but you prone to being attacked during your ascent, and the floors that support you for your brief landing can disappear at any time! I had to watch a YouTube tutorial (as I am sure everyone did in 1983) to make sure I was even on the right path, and after I confirmed what needed to be done, I was still only able to make it to level 2 once!

But of course Hudson Soft always wins with the cover art!
