Highrise is an early floppy disk game for the PC-8801. It shares some similarities with Tetris, in terms of placing various shaped blocks on top of one another. but the mechanics are totally different. Your aim is to build a platform with a path to climb up to the top of the screen. And the pieces are lined up for you to select from, as opposed to a series of dropping pieces. Set a single or multiple pieces on the platform, then the platform vaults all of the pieces in order onto your stack.

I kind of forget the specifics, but you don't have to build exactly flat platforms. However, leaving gaps *can* (but doesn't always) cause breakage, which can foil your building plans.
