Last Armageddon on the MSX2 is one of the first games I bought once I started getting into Japanese vintage computers. It is a common game available on a wide variety of platforms. The back of the box really called to me, as it showed a variety of bizarre imagery. It's a nicely packaged game with a paper map and stickers you can apply to the map to help you understand your surroundings. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The intro contained more of the alluring bizarre imagery from the back of the box, and it has a rockin' soundtrack! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I've still not played the game that much, but it's a bit tricky to get started. You have to first assemble a daytime party and a nighttime party before it will let you get to adventuring. Once you make it past that point, it seems like a large part of the game takes place in the overworld, which is 2D (although there is a flying mode), but there are also a couple of dungeons, which have a 3D perspective. There are also a few special areas. Combat opens a new screen and is turn-based. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
