I've had a couple of different SC-3000s, with specs varying by color only (originally I had black, now I have red). I recently grabbed an SC-3000H because a) it is a different color (white) and b) it was quite a reasonable price compared to others I'd seen. What's the SC-3000H got to offer over the SC-3000? Well, at a glance, it looks like it might be the difference between the Tomy Pyuta and Pyuta mkII, which was interesting and sordid, but in fact the upgrade from SC-3000 to SC-3000H is singular and simple. They replaced the keyboard. And it *is* quite a bit better, I would much appreciate this keyboard over the SC-3000 because it's plastic and has medium-travel keys. And it ditched the gaps between keys and added labels instead of trying to cram a lot of information on top of the rubber keys, making the keys bigger and less busy than the SC-3000. It's pretty slick. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() They also changed up the box, not only to reflect the model number change, but they also put a photo of the actual machine on the box, whereas the original SC-3000 just has an illustrated representation of the machine. ![]() ![]() ![]() The machine works great, and as expected, is a lot more responsive-feeling than the SC-3000's rubber keyboard. However, while it is a great improvement, the SC-3000H doesn't exactly have a *good* keyboard. Still, if you're going to choose one or the other, the SC-3000H is definitely the way to go. ![]() ![]() |
