When I saw the Tomy TV Fun 601 on Mercari, I thought it was a pretty handsome machine, but after looking a bit more, I see the previous version of the TV Fun was actually much more sophisticated-looking with its wood grain case and silver knobs. But this is still pretty nice-looking! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The system works, so that's always nice. It's RF-only, but the video is run through my Konami-branded AV switch which contains a dedicated tuner for RF input, which is run into my PVM (professional video monitor) for photographing. So the end output is pretty nice; I imagine many people using this back in the day had a lot worse quality. It's a fairly simple pong-style sports game system with a few game variations on ROM - football (the soccer kind), tennis, and squash. You can also choose one or two players. But the bizarre thing is, once you've decided your game starts, you can change the game or number of players even when the ball is in play, and it will just continue with its updated variables without restarting the game. The playfield will change, and the number of players will take immediate effect but the ball will continue on its path and maintain the player scores. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Mine came with the original box, user guide, RF switch, and power adapter so it was ready to go right out of the box, nearly 48 years after it was released! The box was in quite good shape, all things considered. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
