I made an article about the Takara Game Pasokon a while back, but recently I came across the machine that the Game Pasokon is a clone of, the SORD m5.

Such a clone, in fact, that almost nothing is different. The primary color of the case is dark gray instead of dark blue, but even the secondary color and accent color are the same. That and the branding, using "SORD" and "m5" where "Takara" and "Game Personal System" were on its clone.

It even had the same PSU, about twice the weight of the computer itself.

The controllers inherit the system's palette.

And it came with the same accessories as the Takara Game Pasokon.

This one lacked the manuals but included this extra book, with a few full color pages and plenty of programs to type in.

This time around, I had a different selection of games - Warp&Warp, StepUp, and Mappy. StepUp was maddening, but the other two were engaging.
