You probably think I misspelled Neutron, but I am not exactly sure what was intended. If I do a LOAD command on the tape, it says it found "NEWTRON", and the title screen says NEWTRON, but I am not sure if it was a mistake on their part or not. I'm going with Newtron as it's the only first-hand reference for it. In any event, this is one of the nicest early PC-8801 games I've ever seen. It is pre-SR models, so it was made in the digital RGB era, thus it is limited to 8 colors. but wow is it a nice-looking game. I am not sure how they pulled off the tree, though. Brown is not part of the 8-color palette, and it doesn't seem to be dithered. Grab the prescribed quantity of fruit to advance to the next stage. But you can't *just* grab the fruit. It needs to ripen first. And once it ripens, the bugs want it, as well. Your window of opportunity is fairly short. The further you advance, the brighter it gets, because it's later in the day. But it also becomes more difficult as the fruit requirement increases with each stage progression. Sometimes you have to move diagonally, which adds a bit of a challenge, as well. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And the box art is as fantastic as the game art! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
