Released in 1991, Chase HQ takes us back to the modern side of retro gaming. It's an action-packed game with high-speed chase thrills. The FM Towns port is well executed by Ving, whom I already highly regard for their superb Bubble Bobble port.

For the uninitiated, this game casts you as a police officer, chasing a criminal car. Your first task is to find the car. You're given a pretty decent amount of leeway in terms of bumping into the environment, but that doesn't mean you won't get penalized if you hit an obstacle too hard. And if you drive too carefully, you'll never catch up to the bad guy and time will run out. The game helps you a substantial amount by placing an arrow over the criminal's car.

Catch up to him and your time is extended. Now on to task two, which is making him stop. He won't yield peacefully, you must ram him until his car takes enough damage that he's forced to stop. This part is a lot of fun! Arrested! On to the next scene.
