With my recent purchase of the National JR-100, I received the demonstration tape, which was sold bundled with the computer back when it was new. ![]() ![]() There are four programs. The first is a non-interactive (basically) demonstration where they show some abilities or starter-ideas of what you can do with your JR-100. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The remaining three programs are at least somewhat interactive. The second program is a calendar. It asks for a year and a month, and then spits out a formatted calendar for that month. It is accurate until at least September 2024. ![]() ![]() The remaining two are games. The first one is a computerized take on whack-a-mole. I believe they used the computer's built-in programmable character generator, so it has a slightly nicer appearance than if it were just done using graphical glyphs. They also randomize the number positions each time you replay so it keeps you on your toes a bit. I got the high score, because I am so good. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Finally we have a space combat simulation game, or single-enemy Space Invaders, depending on how you want to gussy it up. It's pretty... simple, we'll say! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
