Did you know that the MZ-1500 had a light gun option? I most certainly did not, and was surprised to learn that this fairly uncommon system would have such a device. I believe it was only intended for one game, which is at least fairly consistent as only one game (that I found) uses the joystick, as well. I have yet to find the gun, and if I do, I no longer have the game, although we did copy off the data so I could probably make a copy of the disk again someday should I come across one. So I couldn't really do anything with the game, but I wanted to make its existence known. This is a very Hogan's Alley-esque type of game, where you shoot criminals, and don't shoot innocents, who appear as the doors open. Simple idea, but probably fun if you have the light gun! Don't get me started on the "correct" orientation of 3.5" floppy disks, but QuickDisks are also pretty annoying! The disks themselves are fine, but when you put them in their sleeves, either the sleeve art and text is oriented upward and the opening is in the expected top position but the disk is upside down, or the sleeve art and text are upside down and the opening is at the bottom so that the disk can be upright! |
