This game is called Gyoza Panic. Do you know what gyoza is? 90% of you are probably like "yeah, how would we be looking at such an obscure game article without knowing enough about Japanese culture to know what gyoza is?" And 9% of you probably don't care. But for that 1%... potstickers! Gyoza are potstickers. I've told this to native English-speaking people living in Japan who don't believe me but that's what they are. Go ask Costco. ![]() ![]() ![]() In my mind, this is what is happening on the other side of the wall in Dish Carrier, also for the PC-8001mkII. In this game, you control two robotic arms in an attempt to pluck falling gyoza from the sky. This is not an easy task as the gyoza are really small, and the robotic arms require pinpoint accuracy. But just to add to the challenge, birds fly through the sky and also try to nab the gyoza, and believe me, these birds are far more accurate than my robotic arms are. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Oh, right, I'd forgotten, to make it harder still, if a gyoza hits the ground, it *breaks* the ground, restricting the movement of your robotic arms. Those are some tough potstickers! |
